Company Background
Launched in 1996 by Sportingbet plc, Sportsbook.com has certainly proved its resilience over the years with its Sportsbetting products featured on CNN, ESPN, CBS 60 Minutes, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, USA Today. They have twice been awarded the accolade of "Best US Sports Book" in 2005 and 2006 by the industry's top magazine - eGaming Review.
But when the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was introducedby the US government in October 2006, Sportingbet plc chose to sell off all of their U.S. facing sportsbooks in compliance with the act. Sportsbook.com is now affiliated with Superbook.com and Playersonly.com
