The Colorado Rockies are a Major League baseball team based out of Denver, Colorado. They’re named after the famous Rocky Mountains and were founded in 1991. The relatively new franchise started off to a rocky start but were able to slowly turn their luck around and won the league pennant in 2007.
The state of Colorado spent years attempting to attract a Major League baseball franchise.
