This season of Football probabilities has been owned by underdogs but in Week 8 the favorites recover somewhat. It wasn’t a substantial week but there have been some faves that covered the spread in NFL betting lines.

 

Small Favorites Cover – The reason that faves recover a bit this week was considering the modest faves came through. The New england patriots were getting five points at home against Minnesota and the Pats got a late Touchdown to cover. Detroit was a 3-point fave at home against the Redskins and they came through late with the win and also the cover.  It seemed as though Washington would cover this competition for sure however they crumbled in the final minutes.  San Francisco was a 2-point fave in London vs the Denver broncos and the 49ers genuinely dominated the Denver Broncos,  winning 24-16. The St Louis Rams were a 3-point home favorite vs the Carolina Panthers and the Rams more or less dominated the competition, winning 20-10. Oakland was a two-point home favorite versus the Seattle Seahawks and won effortlessly. Miami was either a one-point favorite or a pick and they won on the road at Cincinnati by eight points.  The one minor favorite that didn’t come through was the Cardinals who lost straight up at home to the Bucs Bucs.  Sunday night it was New Orleans a slight fave at home versus Pittsburgh whilst on Monday the Colts were setting five at home against Houston.

 

Chargers Come Through – The Chargers were 6-point faves at home versus the Tennessee titans and they got the victory and the cover.  The Chargers have been a major disappointment this season nonetheless they finally gave bettors a victory vs the Football gambling prospects.

 

Largest Favorite Does not Cover – The largest fave this week in Football sport gambling was the Kansas city chiefs. They were laying 7.5 points at home vs Buffalo at the internet NFL sportsbook. The Chiefs won in ot but never had any sort of likelihood to cover this competition.

 

Two Other Popular Favorites Drop – The Dallas Cowboys and Jets were each laying 6.5 points at home and neither team covered the NFL prospects.  In truth, both teams lost downright. The Dallas Cowboys were beaten at home by the Jacksonville jaguars whilst the Jets were shut out at home by the Packers. You cannot actually expect a lot out of the Cowboys this season, given their horrific play. But the locked out loss for the Jets was astonishing, especially since they were playing on their home turf. It was a fairly humiliating loss for the enthusiastic coach, Rex Ryan, who stated that he wished the squad might play that competition over again.
