Let’s first understand how luck is helpful for bad poker players. Most of the times when the pot is won by a bad player it is all because of lady luck. Their luck might come from a lot of different sources such as getting the perfect set of cards.
Experienced players, on the other hand, prefer to keep luck out of the equation. This is simply because it messes up their rational and mathematical calculations that help them determine clearly what the odds are if one’s looking to win or even if one’s losing to make sure the loss is minimal.
A lot of time when a good player wins a hand many people call that person ‘lucky.’ This is because the other people at the table threw their hand but a good player held on to his. This is pure logic, raise your bet to make others feel you have a better set than you do and make them give you the game. No luck, but plain logic.
The deal is that good players also have their lucky days but most of the time they are trying to make the most by thinking logically.
