Bodog Fight is a new production offered by Bodog out of Costa Rica. The sport takes place in a ring on the bench and features several fighters that travel to Costa Rica from around the world. Bodog Fight features mixed marshal arts fights. The unique thing about Bodog Fight is that it takes place live on the beaches of Costa Rica and you can watch it live on the Bodog site and on ion Television on Tuesday and Saturday nights.

Not only is Bodog Fight entertainment, its a league as well. Calvin Ayre is the mastermind behind Bodog Fight and has taken mixed marshal arts to a new level. The new league is called Mixed Fighting Championship (MFC) and combines mixed marshal arts with international fighting rules. Yes, there are rules, although you may not be able to tell with all of the blood slinging that goes on in the ring. But that is the nature of the game and people are absolutely loving this new breed of boxing meets marshal arts.

Here is how the fights play out. Each fight has three rounds that last five minutes long. There is a one minute break between the rounds. Each is broken down into weight divisions including lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. Fouls include elbow strikes, butting with the head, eye gouging, biting, spitting, hair pulling and fish hooking. You will also not see any groin attacks, poking fingers into any orifices, small joint manipulations, strikes to the spine or back of head, kicks to the kidney or throat strikes. They may also not claw, pinch, kick heads, knee heads, stomp on a grounded fighter, hold the fence or use abusive language. There are a lot more fouls than this, I know youre probably wondering where all the fun is, but when you see these fights youre going to agree that none of this dirty stuff is necessary.

As if this wasnt cool enough already, some of the best fighters in the world are traveling wherever Bodog Fight goes to be a part of the action. The line up of fighters includes both men and women alike and none of them are afraid to get dirty in the ring. Fighters have traveled from Canada and the US, Asia, Russia, Europe and South America to compete in these fights.
